Be Committed To Living And Teaching The Word
2 Tim. 4:1-5
Living and teaching the word of God needs sincere commitment. Insincerity is the source of problems of some believers. Their level of faith is based on self-centered pleasure i.e. “Hedonism”. It is absurd to make satisfaction of selfish desire become more important than righteousness and the will of God. Those who live according to this, are controlled by the sinful nature rather than the Spirit of God. Friendship with the world is spiritual adultery, and it is unfaithfulness to God. The human spirit in its fallen state desires the sinful pleasure of the world. Now that you are born-again, submit yourself to God. Also, be committed to living and teaching the word of God. If you do these, your life will not be dormant.
Point of Emphasis: Recognize that true happiness and useful living are dependent on living the word of God.
Prayer Point: Give me grace Lord Jesus to teach and live the word in the world.
