DAILY DEVOTIONAL READING
A Crucified Life
Paul said “I have been crucified with Christ”, which implies that just as Christ died on the cross and became insensitive to all surrounding objects, he also is dead to sin. Sin no longer has influence on him. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life have lost their power over him. He went ahead to say “it is not I who live, but Christ lives in me”, meaning that he is no longer the owner of his life. His life now belongs to Christ who loved him and gave his life for him. He now lives only to please his Saviour, Jesus. We also must regularly crucify those sinful desires that hinder us from following Jesus and disallows Christ to live in us.
Point of Emphasis: “It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me”. Jesus is alive in me!
Prayer Point: Lord, I surrender my life to You; let Your life be seen through me.
