Message from Pastor (Dr) E. O. Abina,
The General Overseer of GOFAMINT
FAITH A MEANS TO A NEW BEGINNING
Acts 6:8-15, Heb 2:1-4.
“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?” (Heb 2:1-4).
We give all glory to God the Maker of heaven and earth and the Ruler of the whole creation for what He did in our just concluded Convention with the theme: A New Beginning! Those who either attended it or seriously watched on the internet and through GOFTV would agree that it is no secret what God can do. We all saw with our eyes; the wonderful thing the Lord has done, though many of our people did not believe that we can hold our Convention at the Gospel City this year but through our faith in God; it was done! The Bible says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony” (Heb 11:1-2). You need faith to continue to enjoy the dividends of “A New Beginning”.
Faith is more than what you can conceive and believe; it is simply trusting in the revelation and the power of God in spite of your ability to see. If your faith is limited to what you can conceive, then it is limited to only what you can see. True faith takes you beyond what you can see.
Through faith in the Lord, this year Convention has proved beyond every reasonable doubt that the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only Saviour of the world, accredited by the only True and Living God is with us in GOFAMINT. You dare yourself not to be drifted away from the truth you heard and learned. Remember Jesus’ parable of the two builders in Matthew 7:24-29, read it again and again.
This is indeed a new beginning of commitment to God and His Church. It is a new beginning of new life in Christ, a new beginning of riches and wealth, a new beginning of spiritual growth and physical expansion in our local assemblies, a new beginning of material blessings for us individually and our church.
As we all begin to grow in all the areas of church growth, we must remember to plan as if the coming of our Lord were many years away, but live as if it were today (I John 3:1-3). Your live will experience a true new beginning of greatness in Jesus name. Amen.
