Doing Kindness To One Another. (Matt.25:34-40).

Doing Kindness To One Another. (Matt.25:34-40).

Message From Pastor (Dr) E. O. Abina,

The General Overseer of GOFAMINT

Doing Kindness To One Another. (Matt.25:34-40).

33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

The Church of God is God’s family on the earth. It is like our biological family. Though we were not physically born by the same parents but spiritually we were born into God’s family which is the church by the same heavenly Father through the holy Spirit. Looking at the church today it appears that this subject is missing in the pulpit and in our interpersonal relationships. We know the way we relate to one another in our biological family. The same way we should do one another in our spiritual family, the church. Unfortunately, this is not the way we relate to one another in the church today. Though it is not possible for all members of a local church to reside under a single roof, but it is possible to relate to each other as family members in all things. We should have concern for one another. Whenever a brother or sister is passing through a difficult situation and we are aware of it, we should not leave him or her to carry that burden alone as long as he or she is not the  root cause of the problem. We are taught to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. Today it seems that it is easier to weep with those who weep but not able to rejoice with those who rejoice in all cases. That is what happens in the world but it should not be the case in the church where there is love.

If your Christian brother is promoted even in the same place where you work and you are still in the same place where you’ve been for years; as a Christian you should wholeheartedly rejoice with that your brother or sister ask God to help you get promoted as your brother or sister is promoted.

As members of the same family we should involve in the acts of kindness to one another we do in our family in the flesh. You should help your brother who is in need. What you do for him or her you indirectly do it to the Lord and you will reap its reward in the last day. The word of God says

It is true that some church members appear to be ungrateful yet this should not disturb us from doing good to all brothers and sisters in the Lord, knowing for sure that we do it for the Lord’s sake. As a matter of fact, it is not good for any child to be ungrateful to his benefactors. The Lord Himself do not support being ungrateful. An example of this is the case of the ten lepers that were healed by the Lord. Only one of them came back to appreciate Christ for His healing and the Lord noticed it. We should learn to appreciate God for His kindness to us. We should also be grateful to our benefactors, this is important. Don’t take everything for granted, be grateful to God and your brother or sister who helps you
